How to Order, Terms of Sale 2025

Hi, thanks for checking out the 2025 souvenir catalog! 
NOTE: All CLOTHING sales will end 9/28/25 at NOON to prepare for the festival. Other items will be available until 10/6/25.

We're again running our pre-fest Souvenir ordering for pickup at the festival in October.

NO MAIL ORDER at this time.
After the festival concludes, we will consider selling the rest of the items left over via a mail order system, with various shipping options.

If you can't come to the event, you can send an emissary to pick up your items for you. You should put their name in the NOTES during check out.

All Sales are Final. NO EXCHANGES.

If there is a defect with your purchased product, you must present it at the Souvenir Tent to the souvenir manager for review, replacement or store credit, or refund.

Fill up your cart and complete the checkout process. During the online checkout process, you will see there is a "Ship" option that leads to only:

METHOD

1. Items will NOT be shipped. I will PICK UP my purchase at the MILK PARLOR Bldg at the Festival (10/18/25-10/19/25)

2. I'm taking WORKSHOPS. I will PICK UP my purchase at the Bldg D Workshop Checkin at the Festival (10/18/25-10/19/25) Thurs, Fri, Sat or Sunday.

3. I'm a VENDOR. I will PICK UP my purchase at the VENDER CHECK-IN at the Festival (10/18/25-10/19/25)

Bring your ID and receipt or give it to the person picking up your order to present to our volunteers. We will only fulfill orders to the people who actually ordered, unless you tell us someone else is picking up for you.

If you missed the Embroidery items and would like something, please contact us. We expect to offer those in the souvenir tent. Previous embroidery patches are still available to be embroidered, so if you want that please email listmanager@sheepandwool.com with your request.

ABANDONED ITEMS NOT PICKED UP
All orders that are not retrieved by 5pm, Sunday 10/20/2024 will become the property of the Dutchess County Sheep and Wool Growers Association. It's your responsibility as the purchaser to contact us to make arrangements to save your items for future pickup. There will be substantial handling fees on top of shipping fees for us to arrange to ship your abandoned purchase after the event. 

PICK UP WHERE?
The Milk Parlor is "MP" on the map, down from 34 Arena, and Bldg 31, on what's called "Livestock Hill" because it's where all of the animal stuff is.

 

SALES TAXES and RECEIPTS

Since you are picking up your items in Dutchess County, NY, you will be charged Dutchess County (4.125%) and New York State (4%) sales taxes, depending on the items purchased. Clothing and shoes under $110 is exempted county sales tax. NY State also doesn't collect tax on clothing.

However, customers with non-NY state shipping addresses will see their receipts show the name of their state with corresponding tax rates for New York and Dutchess County, not for their state. We still collect the shipping address information, even though you are picking up the items in Dutchess County, NY. This is in case you cancel your trip to the event, and must have the items shipped, or there's a crazy storm that cancels the event, etc etc. We need the shipping info just in case.

For example, an enamel pin will have 8.125% sales tax applied for being picked up in Dutchess County, NY by a Pennsylvania buyer. A shirt will be charged 0% Dutchess county tax. But the words "Pennsylvania State Tax" will appear on the receipt with the NY State tax rate. The tax rate charged on the item is correct, but the receipt indicates the incorrect State name. The receipt will show the name of the state where the purchaser's shipping address is located.

The limitation of the Shopify e-commerce platform forces us to override the non-NY state tax rates in order to correctly collect sales tax on purchases picked up in Dutchess County, NY. We cannot however, edit the receipt output data. We're sorry for any confusion.
